The ARMA Pacific Region Stars Hall of Fame Award recognizes significant contributions by individual members of the Pacific Region of ARMA. These individuals are long-time members of the Pacific Region who have served the chapters and region with outstanding contributions and/or leadership. Announcement and presentation of the award will be conducted at the Pacific Region Leadership Conference for the year the award is given. The award will be a surprise to the inductee(s). A certificate will be issued and a number assigned to the inductee similar to the ARMA Company of Fellows.

Brian Moriki

June 2010

Brian's enthusiasm for his service to the Region has been contagious. He is dependable, reliable, and enthusiastic. Brian has gone beyond expectations in obtaining sponsorship for the Leadership Conference to ensure its financial success and this achievement in obtaining sponsorship support is the sole reason we can offer scholarships at a region level to chapters in need. He has always had the information professionals best interest at heart and at the same time continues to demonstrate our appreciation to the Vendors in every way possible.

Brian is a tireless promoter of ARMA and works hard to encourage and develop new leaders at both the chapter and region level.




Judy Clingerman

June 2009

When asked to describe Judy, the words one Pacific Region member wrote were, "steadfast, efficient, dedicated, and helpful." Judy Clingerman has served as the Pacific Region Treasurer for the last seven years. Over the course of that time, Judy has guided the Region into a sound financial position. She demonstrates fiscal responsibility and leads in her capacity as the Region Treasurer. As a member of the Region Leadership, Judy also assists in the planning of each Region Leadership Conference, often taking charge of registration services to the attendees.

Judy has been an active member of the Pacific Region since 1993 by serving in her home chapter, the Arizona Chapter of ARMA. She has served as Chapter President, Vice President, Treasurer and Newsletter Editor. She continues today serving the Arizona Chapter in the role of Chapter Historian. While serving on her chapter's Board of Directors, Judy attended Region Leadership Conferences.

Judy is an excellent team member and has demonstrated her commitment to the Pacific Region of ARMA International.

Nolene Sherman

June 2009

Nolene serves as the Pacific Region Webmaster. Nolene has served in this position since 2003. Nolene has served for many years on the Orange County Chapter of ARMA where she held the positions of Director of Membership, Newsletter Editor, Director of Job Placement, Webmaster.

While serving as Webmaster for the Pacific Region of ARMA International, the Region has won Region Website of the Year for 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. She has been instrumental in aiding the Region in gaining control of the domain name of www.armapacific.org. In her Region position, she also serves as Webmaster to the smaller chapter within the Region who do not have the resources or expertise to create or manage a website and manages their use of the Region domain and website without charge to the chapters.

Since joining the Region Team in 2003, Nolene has been a constant presence and resource at the Leadership Conferences, serving as audio/visual guru and conference photographer. She serves the Region, the Chapter leaders by providing expertise, creativity and professionalism. She has been officially dubbed the "Region Photographer."


Michael Goode

June 2008

Mike has been an active and valued member of the Pacific Region for many years. He has served his home chapter, Silicon Valley/Santa Clara since 1995, taking on numerous roles and offices. He received Chapter member of the Year from his home chapter in 1996, 1997, 1999, and 2001. While on his home chapter board he participated in Pacific Region leadership conferences and made excellent networking contributions. He has spoken at several chapters across the region sharing his RIM expertise, as well as at ARMA's Annual Conference. Mike has served as an excellent Pacific Region coordinator for several years and has led the Region well as Pacific Region Manager. His work has been invaluable in producing eight Pacific Region Leadership Conferences. He has helped to improve the program and content of those conferences and been financially responsible with region funds. He has represented Region Managers participating on last year's Strategic Planning with the ARMA Board of Directors and others.

He has contributed much to the association's Member Relations Committee, the ARMA Leadership Task Force, and the Leadership Development and Training Committee. Currently he is leading a Task Force studying ideas for improving the association's Awards Program. Mike has ARMA members best interests at heart. He is passionate about chapter, region, and association programs bringing value to ARMA members.

He is an excellent team leader and team member, and is both sincere and humble regarding his ARMA work.


Helen Streck

June 2007

The Pacific Region of ARMA International was proud to select Helen Streck as its third member inducted into the Stars Hall of Fame in 2007. For over 18 years, Helen has been an active member of ARMA. In 1987 She first served her home chapter, the Silicon Valley/Santa Clara Chapter, as Newsletter Editor/Chapter Programs and went on to become Chapter President from 1990 to 1992. The chapter has honored her as Chapter Member of the Year, as well as named their community service award after her. Currently she is also a member of the Central Coast/Ventura Chapter. In the Pacific Region, Helen has served as a seminar chair and treasurer. In 1998 she was Region Lead Coordinator in ARMA's new Region Leadership Pilot Program and became the Pacific Region's Manager in 1999-2000. During her chapter and region service, she became an excellent mentor to many emerging ARMA leaders, as well as a popular leadership and RIM speaker. She made significant contributions in defining the region leadership model and program.

For the association, Helen served on the Professional Development Committee, International Relations Committee, and chaired the Municipal Government ISG and the Member Relations Committee. From 2000 to 2003, Helen served on ARMA International's Board of Directors. Since her Board term, she has been an ARMA Educational Foundation Trustee and Treasurer from 2003 to 2006. Helen has spoken at numerous Annual Conferences over the years. She is known for her expertise in RIM and enthusiasm for leadership and our association.

Currently Helen is the Director of Corporate Records Management for Amgen Incorporated establishing the Records and Information Management (RIM) program strategy, as well as providing direction and education on program standards to all sites and functions worldwide. Amgen is the world's largest biotechnology company striving to be the best human therapeutics company by using science and innovation to dramatically improve people's lives.

Helen has a B.S. in Laboratory Technology from the University of Oklahoma and an Associate Degree in Natural Sciences from St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In addition she has accomplished Graduate Hours in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, California.

The Region is proud to designate Helen M. Streck as Star Number Three in the Pacific Region's Stars Hall of Fame.


Steven Gray

June 2005

The Pacific Region of ARMA International was proud to select Steve Gray as its second member inducted into the Stars Hall of Fame in 2005. Steve has been an active chapter and region leader for over 17 years. Steve served Upland Inland Empire Chapter as its president twice from 1993-1994 and in 1996-1997. He also held the positions of Membership Director, Vice-President, Past President-Advisor and Program Director in the chapter. He became a Region Coordinator in 2000 he then was selected as the Region Manager in 2002 and served in that position until his election the ARMA International Board of Directors in 2004. Steve has always been very active in the Pacific Region Leadership Conferences and the region has benefited greatly by his continued involvement. He has assisted and mentored many chapter leaders and continues to be an asset to the Pacific Region and its members.

Steve Gray is Corporate Librarian for World Vision's International Partnership Office in Monrovia, California. He is responsible for information used for reference, statute, or organizational history purposes.

World Vision is an international Christian humanitarian organization supporting more than 4,000 projects in 96 nations touching the lives of over 100 million people. The organization assists the poor in sustainable community based development focusing especially on the needs of children.

Celebrating 35 years with World Vision, Steve has held a variety of administrative positions with the organization. In 1993 he was selected "Employee of the Year" in the International Office.

Steve received his formal education from Point Loma Nazarene University, and cross-cultural/diversity training through World Vision courses. Active in ARMA since 1988, he has held several chapter board positions including two terms as president with the Upland Inland Empire Chapter. He was selected "Chapter Member of the Year" in both 1991 and 1994. At the Association level, Steve served two years on the Awards Committee, two years as a Pacific Region Coordinator, and two years as Pacific Region Manager. Steve is currently serving on the ARMA Association Board of Directors.

Steve has spoken at numerous Pacific Region chapters and leadership conferences over the last fifteen years. He led interactive sessions on diversity and culture at three ARMA Annual Conferences.


Juanita Skillman, CRM, FAI

June 2004

The Pacific Region of ARMA International was proud to select Juanita Skillman, CRM/FAI for its very first award honoring distinguished service. For over twenty years Ms. Skillman has shared her time, expertise, and enthusiasm with chapters in the Pacific Region. Although never having served in a formal Pacific Region leadership position, Ms. Skillman has made significant contributions to our membership through numerous RIM presentations at chapter and region educational events. Every chapter and annual Pacific Region Leadership conference has benefited from her training and participation. Her contributions to the region were invaluable while she served on the association's Board of Directors Executive Committee. By example and relationship she has mentored both chapter and region leaders over the years. She was indeed the best choice to be declared Star Number One in the Pacific Region Stars Hall of Fame. Juanita Skillman continues to sparkle most brightly among Pacific Region members.

JUANITA M. SKILLMAN, CRM, FAI is the Records Manager at the Orange County Sanitation District in Fountain Valley, California. Prior to entering the Records and Information Management field, she was a Public School Teacher and Librarian. She is a former President of OCARMA.

Ms. Skillman holds both B.S. (1971) and M.A. (1973) degrees from Western New Mexico University and received her Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation in 1986, with recertification in 1994 and 1998. She is a former President of ARMA International, The Association for Information Management Professionals, and also served four years as Treasurer of that Association. She was honored as a Fellow of ARMA International (FAI) in 1991.

An experienced speaker and trainer, she is a member of Toastmasters International and speaks frequently for ARMA and other business and professional groups. She has been published in The Information Manager's Toolkit, and in the Records Management Quarterly, the Information Management Journal, The Records and Retrieval Report, and Modern Office Technology.
