Region Manager's Letter

This new ARMA Year started off with a great Pacific Region Leadership Conference in beautiful Park City, Utah. The highlight of the Conference was a two-part presentation by Alan Hillburg on marketing ARMA Chapters. Comments from the attendees ran along the lines of "I could not write fast enough to keep up with all the good ideas and information." Chapter leaders spent time playing, learning and networking together sharing support and ideas for this ARMA year. Everyone left re-charged better prepared to lead their chapters.

It is my pleasure to introduce two new Region Coordinators, Pilar McAdam and David Fleming; two long-term ARMA members and motivated Region Coordinators. Both Pilar and David have demonstrated success in Chapter leadership roles and Pilar also serves in a leadership role for the ARMA International Education Foundation. Pilar will serve as Region Coordinator for the Orange County, Hawaii, Greater Los Angeles and Central Coast ARMA Chapters. David will serve as Region Coordinator for the Utah-Salt Lake, Silver State, Sierra Nevada and Southern California Inland Empire Chapters. Welcome to both Pilar and David.

I want to thank Bruce Bailey and Brian Moriki for their years of services to the Pacific Region team and chapters. Both have been role models for other chapter and region leaders in demonstrating an unwavering commitment to serve the members of the Pacific Region and to improve the leadership skills of information management professionals. Thank you both for your service to the Pacific Region of ARMA International. Mahalo - Brian!

Finally, I wish each leader and member of the ARMA Pacific Region a wonderful and successful new ARMA year for 2010-2011. I hope to see you all in San Francisco at the annual ARMA International Conference and Expo in November.
